How to Reach Sikkim
Sikkim, nestled in the Himalayas, is accessible directly by road and indirectly through air and rail. As a mountainous state, it is well-connected via a network of roads from neighboring cities such as Siliguri, Darjeeling, Bagdogra, and New Jalpaiguri.
By Air: The primary airport for reaching Sikkim is Bagdogra, approximately 124 km from the state capital, Gangtok. Direct flights to Bagdogra are available from Delhi and Kolkata, operated by airlines like Indigo, SpiceJet, and Go Air.
Direct flights are available from Mumbai (Indigo and SpiceJet) and Bangalore (Indigo, SpiceJet, and Air Asia). From Bagdogra, travel to Gangtok by road in a bus or cab.
